Cooperativa Cristina is an association that provides jobs for the physically and mentally disabled in a family environment supported by members and volunteers who dedicate part of their free time to others. The Crescere Insieme al Sant’Anna Foundation has been committed for years in the task of expanding the Department of Neonatology at Turin’s Sant’Anna Hospital, striving to give the hospital larger and more technologically advanced facilities and equipment. The Italian Blind Union (Unione Italiana Ciechi) was founded in Genoa in 1920, since it’s founding it has represented and protected the moral and material interests of the visually impaired. What drives the union, and in particular the Turin section, is the firm conviction that the achievement of autonomy is a fundamental right of all blind and visually impaired, encouraging it by all means.
